Our Rich History

A track record of superior client service

Rayproof Canada is founded through a joint venture between Shielding Systems Corporation and EMCON.

1987

Shielding Systems purchases EMCON’s interests in Rayproof Canada, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of Bairnco.

1988

With the establishment of NAFTA, Raymond EMC begins exporting to clientele in the U.S.

1994

Rayproof Canada is purchased and becomes a Canadian privately-owned Company. Company is re-named to Raymond EMC.

Company headquarters opens in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

1997

Raymond EMC establishes client relationships with big high-tech firms. Significant projects include large shielded enclosures, and EMC labs in Canada and the U.S.

Introduces innovative designs, including the QuietDoor RCM.

1997

Introduces the QuietBox line of table-top, and cabinet shielded enclosures.

Raymond EMC introduces pneumatic operation for the QuietDoor and revolutionizes the industry approach to shielded door automation.

2003

Introduces the QuietDoor HTs, high traffic and virtually maintenance-free.

2005

Raymond EMC delivers Tempest walk-in enclosures under contract to the Canadian government, successfully installed in over 40 countries around the world.

2006

Company experiences continued growth, and is established as a leader in EMC and Tempest markets.

Raymond EMC is purchased by new ownership and invigorated with a fresh vision of development and growth.

2012

Introduces the QuietShelter, a deployable enclosure system for EMI, Tempest and Acoustic requirements.

Delivers the largest welded enclosure ever installed in Canada.

2014

Introduces the QuietShield Hybrid, combining secure processing and secure discussion in one modular enclosure.

2015

Establishes alliances with sales representatives in two U.S. territories.

Delivers a full turnkey compliance EMC lab in an alliance with Comtest and Rhode and Schwarz.

2015

Introduces the Eurotempest line of Tempest equipment.

2016

Establishes an alliance with sales representation in the South East (U.S.)

2017

New U.S. sales office opens in Atlanta, Georgia. Sales representation across the U.S. is established, with U.S. sales tripling as a result.

2018

Opens a satellite manufacturing facility in Russell, ON and procures land for a new facility to be built in 2022.

2020

Raymond EMC establishes a partnership with French-based manufacturer SIEPEL.
